about to go off on tour again........

24.Sep.2010 15:33

Its been a busy Summer, so much for my time off!
I have been in the studio putting the finishing touches to Tribute To Les Paul DVD and CD that will be out in March 2011 and I am told that PBS will be broadcasting part of the show just before Christmas.
Look out for it and let me know what you think!

I start on the next leg of my tour at the end of next week. I am playing in new places which is always fun.

The sensational Trombone Shorty will be supporting me on the 1st half of my UK dates.
The Baseballs, a fabulous Rockabilly band are supporting me for 2nd part of my UK tour. I am looking forward to seeing both of these acts.

Going to enjoy my last week whilst I can.
Hope the weather gets better, so much for a hot Summer

J.B

JB,

After a busy and very successful 2010, you have certainly earned a bit of rest & relaxation in 2011. With all the tour dates, I hope your share built up quite the stack of euros to keep you in vettes and aftermarket custom parts for a long time.

I want to wish you safe passage and good health as you begin the final legs of the tour. Look forward to the LP/PBS show.

Can't wait to get the Les Paul Tribute DVD and CD as well as the new Crossroads, only hope Clapton puts more than one song on it.

Would love to see a DVD of your tour this year as well, was awesome, I was lucky enough to catch it 3 times and it was the best ever. Also had the best luck at the MGM Grand show where I won Front Row Seats, was 10 feet from you most of the night, incredible, I will never forget it.

Hope you come back to the states real soon and don't forget Connecticut. :)
Thanks for all your hard work,
Craig Parlee

another new CD would be pretty cool too. :) The last one was awesome.

You are playing in Colombia where my ex wife was from! Best of shows. Best of luck.....BTW the PBS airing will be the second one of you this fall. All this month and next different PBS channels are airing your bits and bobs as part of Robert's film "Rock Prophecies".

Best,
Kid

Hi Jeff,

Sorry to hear you didn't have much time off, but delighted to "officially" hear about the release of DVD of tribute to Les. I really wanted to be there but didn't win the ticket, so that's really a good news.

Enjoy the rest of your time off, it is at least sunny today though there's a nip in the air (and area ;-) ).

I'll be coming to your gigs in Brighton and London, which I am very much looking forward to.

Hideki

Can't WAIT to see & hear the Les Paul tribute! The version of "How High The Moon" you did in Cincinnati in the summer (and everywhere else you did it, I'd imagine!) was fabulous!

Look forward to the new stuff & wish I could come across the pond for the Royal Albert Hall shows in a month!

I managed to get a CD of Jeff's live performance at the July 13, 2010 Lucca Summer Festival. The renditions of Mna Na Eireann (probably spelled wrong) and Nessun Dorma were incredible. David Fricke of Rolling Stone Magazine had myriad accolades and laudation for the Les Paul Gig in NYC. I hope Jeff has a safe trip to Israel. McCartney dug playing over there. Last but not least in the most recent issue of Goldmine Magazine (With The Who On The Cover), Nils Lofgren is interviewed and ardently states that JB is the greatest, living guitarist.

You could always come back to L.A. for a few days. It's 90 degrees here right now. Have a great rest of your tour!
