about to go off on tour again........

24.Sep.2010 15:33

Its been a busy Summer, so much for my time off!
I have been in the studio putting the finishing touches to Tribute To Les Paul DVD and CD that will be out in March 2011 and I am told that PBS will be broadcasting part of the show just before Christmas.
Look out for it and let me know what you think!

I start on the next leg of my tour at the end of next week. I am playing in new places which is always fun.

The sensational Trombone Shorty will be supporting me on the 1st half of my UK dates.
The Baseballs, a fabulous Rockabilly band are supporting me for 2nd part of my UK tour. I am looking forward to seeing both of these acts.

Going to enjoy my last week whilst I can.
Hope the weather gets better, so much for a hot Summer

Superb Concert - Bournemouth, England, 15th October.

I managed to get a good seat this time!

I thought the show was fantastic; a great display of real skill and guitar work at it's best.

In my books there is no one better. I really enjoy the scope of your work - which keeps it fresh, it's just great to listen to and even to see and hear live; a real pleasure to appreciate REAL talent and skill at work.

Keep up the albums and touring - it is much appreciated in these times of x (crap) factor.

All the best for the rest of the UK shows.

Graham.

What a great year or so it’s been.

Not just for you Jeff, but for me too. It all started at the Royal Albert Hall in the summer of 2009 when by chance I happened to be in London at the same time as you and was able to get tickets for your show. That was an incredible night. I finally I got to see you live. I've been waiting since I first heard The Yardbirds. And Dave Gilmour joining you was amazing.

Then I was lucky to be able to see you and Eric in Toronto and Montreal this past winter. Two of my favourite musicians on the same stage displaying unmatched range with Moon River and I Want To Take You Higher. Stunning. My wife was brought to tears during Nessum Dorma. Okay, so was I. Beautiful and moving. But the luck, and perfect timing, kept coming my way. Boston Beckoned and we were off in the summer. Once the rain stopped and the thunder and lighting abated, it was a beautiful night to be blown away again by the greatest guitar player in the world.

Thanks Jeff, the dream of seeing you live has come true...four times in three countries. Still can’t believe it!

I was hoping to make it to the RAH for the last couple of shows of the European tour but unfortunately it’s not possible. We also got Emotion and Commotion this past year.

Brilliant! You are definitely at the top of your game. What's in store next?

Hi Jeff,

Better late than never, thank you for the gig last Saturday.

I enjoyed it very much despite having some mishaps before I got there, and the venue appeared to lack in atmosphere (personally, I prefer Dome better as a venue); I guess the seats being bang in front of base speakers didn't help (my wife actually felt a bit unwell by the vibration).

I'm looking forward to the RAH to see you again next week!!

Best Regards,

Hideki

Jeff,

Hope everything goes well & you have wonderful experiences in those "first-time visiting" places.

BTW I heard that you guys are planing to come back to US in spring 2011!
OMG I can't wait, please, please stop by Manhattan this time.... don't skip NYC & see you then.
You need at least 2 shows there! :)

Take a good care of yourself,
Don't drink champagne too much without eating,
Be aware of that you're one of the world's heritage!

Love you & your music alwaysxxxxoooo

Hi Jeff,

Just to say a big thank you for last night at the Brighton Centre, a fantastic gig, I thought everyone played their asses off! You have a fantastic band, Rhonda's bass playing was amazing, Michael was incredible and Jason is a brilliant keyboard player.

Great to see you mix the set up and the sound was fab! Your playing was better than ever and it was great to see you all playing off eachother and enjoying it so much!

Hope you have a great rest of tour and come back to Brighton soon.

Simon

PS Would love to hear an album in the future with these guys, I loved E & C play it every day!

Hi Jeff,

Thank you for all you have given in Utrecht. It was a real pleasure to listen to "Corpus Christi Carol" (Benjamin Britten! I'll never make the same mistake again!), "People Get Ready" (Curtis Mayfield) "Blow By Blow"/"Wired" tracks, "A Day In The Life" (Lennon/McCartney), etc. What struck me was your warm approach to the audience and most of all the presence of Sly Stone. Oh no, I'm wrong, it was Rhonda Smith! She is a good entertainer. Maybe this is something for a name of your band: Rhonda and the Family Smith;-) hey! hey! hey!
Utrecht was the first place I visited a concert of yours. Accompanied with Tony Hymas and Terry Bozzio. All of you were strong and unbelievable then.
Last night was a night with a warm and human Jeff Beck.
Thank you and be blessed by everyone during your whole life.
