CAREER CELEBRATED AT THE CLASSIC ROCK AWARDS 2016

(Los Angeles, CA – September 8, 2016) After his hugely successful US tour completed on August 21st, JEFF BECK is ready to keep the party going with five newly announced dates in Europe set in October.  BECK will begin on October 22nd in Switzerland before hitting Paris, Brussels, a pair of shows in Germany and finishing at the O2 in London on October 30th where he is co-headlining with Van Morrison.  BECK is continuing to celebrate the release of LOUD HAILER, his first new studio album in six years, combining fluid fretwork with topical lyrics to make a powerful statement about everything from the love of power, to the power of love.

Following the European shows, BECK will head to Japan where, on November 11th, his 50-year career will be celebrated at the 2016 Classic Rock Awards.  For the first time, the prestigious awards will take place in Tokyo at the Ryogoku Kokugikan Arena.

Last month, on August 10, in the midst of his U.S. Tour, BECK made his Hollywood Bowl debut for a very special, career-spanning concert that celebrated 50 years of ‘dynamic music making’ with special guests that included Steven Tyler, Jan Hammer, Beth Hart, Billy Gibbons and Buddy Guy.  Over the course of Beck’s illustrious 50-year career, the trailblazing guitarist has earned many accolades.  He’s been inducted into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame – twice!  First as a member of the Yardbirds in 1992, then again, as a solo artist in 2009.  Rolling Stone Magazine ranked him as one of the “100 Greatest Guitarists of All Time” and he has earned a total of 8 Grammy Awards during his long career. In addition, BECK has been a guest performer at scores of sessions with so many of his contemporaries.  Throughout his career, BECK routinely makes the fantastically difficult sound effortless.

Over the last year, BECK spent hours working on his newly released first book, BECK01 (Genesis Publications, jeffbeckbook.com) which is focused on his twin inspirations – hot rodding and rock’n’roll.  Available now, in this high quality “signed, limited-edition” book, Jeff Beck takes us on the journey of a lifetime. Over five decades, he has blazed a trail, forging a unique guitar style lauded by critics, fans and fellow guitar legends.
